Frequently Asked Questions

12.Q:How long will my inflatable unit last?
A:Our inflatables are built to last minimum 8-10 years. A properly used unit should last 6 to 8 years, if each unit on an average was to be rented about 1 1/2 times per week.

13.Q:What happens if I want to purchase something that you do not have?
A:We accept all kinds of custom made orders than one can realize.

14.Q: How easy are the tents to inflate and deflate?
A: Very easy. Chinee pumps comes with quick disconnect fittings which should plug directly into the Valve Interface on the air beam of the tents. Only about one minute is needed to inflate our largest tent with a foot pump and only about one and a half minutes with an integrated pump! To deflating the tent, you just need to unscrew the large cap on the valve interface. Then you can roll the tent up.

15.Q: Can Chinee inflatable tents be inflated using compressed air?
A:Yes, of course. But only with a Chinee approved inflation system. One of the fantastic things of Chinee inflatable tents is that they are designed to be functional at low pressures and therefore do not necessarily need heavy pumps or compressed air for inflation. Nevertheless, compressed air systems can be used for extremely rapid deployment, but a regulator or blow-off valve is needed to insure that the pressure do not exceed 9 PSI.

16.Q: Are the inflatable air beams repairable?
A: Exactly. The broken and/or damaged air beams should be repaired by swapping a new bladder into the air beams, because our air beams have two layers: one is a rugged abrasion resistant outer fabric; the other is an air tight polyurethane inner bladder. At least one bladder access enter has already been made on each air beam. The bladder can be pulled for patching or replacement through the bladder access enter (typically it is a hook and loop flap). Each tent should come with several self-adhesive patches and al least one extra bladder.

17.Q:Can the air supported tents be used in winter?
A: Yes, they can, but it depends on you. Chinee designs a series of shelters each for a specific application. They are intended to be easier to use and packed with more features than competing three-season tents. The extreme conditions shelters are designed to have all the features you would want in a very cold environment.
